Roots that grow in a circular pattern around the trunk can affect the trees stability and health. These roots will need to be removed so that the tree to make it to maturity. Root collar excavation uses high powered compressed air to remove the dirt from the trunk without damaging the tree so that any problem roots can be pruned away and the problem can be permanently fixed. Purchasing your trees from reputable growers and removing these problem roots when the trees are planted will eliminate these problems from day one.
